CARY, N.C. — A Cary man has been arrested for forging more than $10,000 worth of his father's checks.
Police said Michael Kern stole 13 of his father's checks over a three-month period.
Police said Kern made the checks out to himself, forged his father's signature, and deposited the checks into his personal account.
The amount on each check ranged from $500 to $975.
Kern, who is in jail on $50,000 bond, faces forgery charges, police said.
