On Wednesday morning, officials at Shaw University broke ground on the Early Childhood Development Center at the corner of Bloodworth and East Lenior streets in Raleigh.
The center will house facilities to test speech, hearing and cognitive function of young children. It will also provide instruction and services so people can become certified as preschool teachers.
