JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Commissioners in Johnston County have set aside $15,000 for a pilot program to remove run-down, abandoned mobile homes.

The announcement comes after the community of Kenly put a four-month moratorium on mobile homes.

The town will use the next four months to remodel its requirements before allowing anymore to be built.
