Raeford Man Faces Sex Offense Charges

RAEFORD, N.C. — A Raeford man faces more than a dozen felony charges related to allegations that he sexually assaulted two girls.

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office did not provide the age of the victims.

Michael Steven Nicely, 46, was initially charged with six sex-related felony charges related to one of the girls.

Authorities later received from a second victim a videotape with evidence of sexual assault on the second girl.

As a result, Nicely was charged with 12 more felony charges, including four counts of indecent liberties with a minor, three counts of first-degree sex offense and two counts of first-degree rape of a child.

Nicely is currently being held in the Hoke County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond.
