Store Clerk Found Unconscious In Parking Lot

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are trying to find four people they believe to be connected with an assault on a convenience store clerk late Friday.

Shortly before midnight, Raleigh police responded to the Han-Dee Hugo convenience store at

800 S. New Hope Road

, where they found 30-year-old Francis Gitau Chege, lying unconscious in the parking lot.

Chege was transported to WakeMed, where he received medical treatment for a serious head injury.

shows Chege in an apparent dispute with four other people -- two men and two women. At one point, all five individuals are outside the store before they return inside.

The video then shows the four unidentified people leave the store, followed by Chege. A car then leaves the scene.

Police said that moments after Chege left the store for the second time, he received his injuries.
