FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Traffic on Interstate 95 is moving again after an overnight tractor-trailer accident.
The accident happened in Cumberland County near Highway 24, north of Fayetteville. Authorities say a tractor-trailer hauling metal wire rear-ended a truck carrying dog food.
Emergency crews took one of the drivers to the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the accident, but have not filed any charges. Investigators believe the tractor-trailer driver may have fallen asleep.
Crews had to shut down northbound lanes on that part of I-95 for several hours.
