Cumberland Authorities Investigate Overnight Homicide

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County detectives are investigating an homicide that occurred overnight.

Leon Roosevelt Allen, 65, was shot early Tuesday morning. Allen told deputies two men entered his home in Sunset Mobile Home Park off

Trotwood Drive

and began firing weapons at around 12:30 a.m.

Authorities said one of the men, 22-year-old Kevin Flowers of Laurinburg, was fatally wounded. The second man, whose identity is unknown, left the scene before law enforcement officers arrived.

Allen was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment to his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
