DURHAM, N.C. — Some accused criminals in Durham will get a free pass of sorts this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday people with outstanding misdemeanor charges can turn themselves in without paying bail or going to jail.
The offenders will simply sign papers and get a court date.
Durham has more than 10,000 unserved warrants that span years.
