Garner Police Seek Public's Help In Identifying Alleged Peeper

Posted Updated

GARNER, N.C. — Police are looking into a string of "peeping tom" reports in Garner.

Authorities say the alleged peeper has been targeted the area of Delbridge Street and Forest Drive.

"We've identified nine incidents since June 1," said Lieutenant Chris Hagwood. "The person has typically been seen looking into windows between 7 p.m. and midnight."

Authorities believe several incidents that have occurred over the past several months are related. In the most recent case, the suspect entered a residence on Delbridge Street through an unlocked back door. The person then fled when confronted by the homeowner.

Police are asking for public assistance in catching the suspect. Officers have distributed fliers to residents in the area, warning them to be on the lookout for any suspicious people.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white jersey with the number "22" on the front.
