ZEBULON, N.C. — Deputies arrested Wednesday a 17-year-old male for shooting at two occupied vehicles in Zebulon.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office said Jamal Lamont Sims, a student at East Wake High School, fired at two occupied vehicles that were parked at the intersection of
Rosinburg and Debnam roads
on Monday.
Investigators said the shooting may be gang-related, and the incident stemmed from an ongoing problem between Sims and another student at East Wake High School.
Sims has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is being held in the Wake County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
