State Lawmakers Return To Work Monday

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — House members of the N.C. General Assembly will return to work for an evening session Monday.

The Senate plans to be back to work Tuesday morning.

On the table are several bills that still need final approval.

One bill would allow counties to raise the sales tax by a half-cent to pay for new schools.

There is no word on whether the Senate will vote on the lottery. The

is one vote short of passing the Senate, but there are questions about whether all Senators will be there to vote.
