DURHAM, N.C. — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday in Durham.
Authorities say a man going for his morning coffee found the body laying in the road at the intersection of
Kentington and Fayetteville Streets
Investigators have identified the body of 26-year-old Albert Earl Barnes Jr. They believe Barnes was shot several times and that someone dumped his body in the early morning hours.
Heavy overnight rains made it difficult for detectives and a canine unit to collect evidence.
Investigators said they do not have any suspects, but are looking for the victim's sport utility vehichle, a 2004 burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee with North Carolina license plate
