Police Say Wal-Mart Gang Story Just A Rumor

RALEIGH, N.C. — A story circulating around Wilson, Rocky Mount and other towns across the country is not true, police say.

WRAL has received several e-mails that gangs will target a mother and child outside a Wal-Mart this weekend.

Police say they have no specific information that the story is true, but will increase security as a precaution.
