Wake School System Launches Anti-Obesity Program In Schools

RALEIGH, N.C. — The

Wake County Public School System

launched a new initiative Friday to help reduce childhood obesity.

Health administrators demonstrated a new anti-obesity program that will be added to 20 Wake County public schools this fall.

The school district is also opening two fitness centers at Broughton and East Wake high schools.
