HALIFAX COUNTY, N.C. — The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a July 16 slaying.
Authorities say Travis Williams, 22, of Weldon, is wanted in connection with the slaying of Charles Mitchum. Authorities say Williams shot the victim several times with a handgun.
Investigators say Williams has ties to the Durham area.
