Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The trial for a Durham man accused of killing his wife begins Oct. 31 nearly three years after her disappearance.

Robert Petrick is charged with killing Janine Sutphen.

Sutphen, a cellist with the Durham Symphony, disappeared in January 2003. Her body was found months later in Falls Lake.

Petrick, who will represent himself, is currently serving time at Central Prison on fraud charges.
