FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A motorcyclist died Sunday in an accident in Fayetteville.
State troopers say Daniel Quakenbush was speeding on Collier's Chapel Church Road when he lost control around a curve. Quakenbush hit a mailbox and a ditch and was thrown 17 feet.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say he was traveling 75 in a 55 mph zone. No charges will be filed in the accident.
