JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — An automobile accident Sunday in Johnston County caused a man to be tossed from his car and onto a tombstone, authorities said.
Authorities said a convertible flipped on 96 South just outside of Four Oaks. The top was down on the vehicle, and the driver was thrown from the car.
The driver landed on a tombstone, and he was airlifted to UNC Hospitals.
Authorities have not released the victim's condition.
