Fayetteville Police Arrest Suspect In Deadly Shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested and charged a 26-year-old male for first-degree murder after a deadly shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

At about 2 a.m. Saturday, after receiving a 911 call, officers arrived at a residence on Grove View Terrace and saw a vehicle leaving the area.

An officer followed the vehicle to High Smith Rainey Hospital.

Twenty-one-year-old Anthony Toole, one of the passengers in the vehicle, had a gunshot wound and later died at the hospital.

Police conducted interviews with several witnesses, and then arrested Corey Hosley. The 26-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder, and is being held in the Cumberland County Jail.
