RALEIGH, N.C. — Thousands of North Carolinians may be entitled to money from an insurance settlement.
State officials said Liberty Life Insurance Company charged African-Americans higher premiums than people of other races.
Policies bought as early as 1910 and as late as 1991 are covered by the lawsuit. In many cases, the policies had a small face value.
For more information on the settlement, you should contact Liberty Life Insurance Co.
