Rolling Stones Consider Stop In Durham On Latest Tour

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The Rolling Stones could roll through the Triangle in a few months.

The ban wants to bring its latest tour to Duke University's Wallace Wade Stadium.

A university spokesman said the band's managers have contacted Duke about a possible concert Oct. 8, but said nothing is final.

The Stones last played the Triangle in 1994 at Carter-Finley Stadium.

The group kicks off its 2005-2006 world tour at Fenway Park in Boston on Aug. 21.
