CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A ready-mix cement truck fell into a hole Thursday at the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The truck fell into a hole at a construction site on South Road near Stadium Drive.

The truck was backing up when the rear right tire hit the pavement that gave way to the hole.

East and west directions of South Street on campus were closed so that a tow truck could get the cement truck out of the hole.

There were no injuries and no charges filed.
