Arrest Made In Stolen Cello Case

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities say a $14,000 cello was stolen and then pawned for $200.

Investigators say Kevin Allen, of Timberlake, stole the instrument from a Chapel Hill home, then took it to a Durham pawn shop.

Chapel Hill police arrested Allen Wednesday and charged him with breaking and entering. Durham is also considering charges.

Allen was just released from prison in June.
