Man Accused Of Killing Wal-Mart Employee Appears In Court

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A man accused of a killing a Wal-Mart employee made his first court appearance Thursday morning.

Cumberland County investigators said Johnathon Seymore shot Roger Handon in the parking lot of the store along Raeford Road.

A judge appointed Seymore a court-appointed attorney and ordered him to remain in the Cumberland County Jail without bond. His next court date is July 26.

Detectives believe the two knew each other. According to published reports, both had children with the same woman.
