<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A Jet Blue airplane on its way to Florida made an emergency landing at RDU International Wednesday morning.

The pilot reported that passengers asked for a landing because they smelled an odor in the plane.

Mindy Hamlin, spokeswoman for RDU International, said the landing was safe and the plane was checked out in the airport's General Aviation area.

Another plane will take the 153 passengers from RDU to West Palm Beach.
