WILSON, N.C. — Authorities on Monday arrested a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a New York man in Wilson last month.

Lamant Reginald Fagan Jr. was arrested and charged with the murder of Sean K. Perrigen, who was found dead at 110 Narroway Street in Wilson, police said.

Fagan was found inside a garage at the residence of Charles Philson at 1571 W. Hantahan Road in Ayden.

Fagan and Charles Philson are cousins, police said. Fagan, who was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and assisted by detectives from the Wilson Police Department, was taken into custody without incident.

Police found the body of Perrigen, 27, of Yonkers, N.Y., inside a house on Narrroway Street on June 16. Police said he appeared to have been shot and that there were no signs of forced entry into the house.
