Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man accused of killing his musician wife and dumping her body in a lake wants a new lawyer.

Robert Petrick is charged with killing Janine Sutphen more than two years ago. Sutphen, a cellist with the Durham Symphony, disappeared in January of 2003. Her body was found several months later in Falls Lake.

In court papers, Petrick said he does not get along with his court-appointed lawyer and wants a new one.

A hearing is scheduled for next week.
