Construction Under Way On New Amberly Development

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — There are signs of progess at one of the largest planned communities ever designed for Wake County.

The first home is going up in the Amberly development in western Cary. The home is part of a smaller development within Amberly.

Ultimately, around 5,000 single-family homes and townhomes will go up in western Wake and Chatham counties over the next 10 years.

Amberly will also include a shopping district and a subdivision, restricted to buyers age 55 and older.
