JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — One day after getting her learner's permit, a Johnston County woman was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident, the N.C. Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers said Debra Flowers ran off Blue Grass Road, just north of Selma, and hit a tree.
She died on the way to the hospital.
Troopers said Flowers was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
