Siler City Police Search For Bank Robbery Suspect

SILER CITY, N.C. — The Siler City Police Department is looking for a suspect who robbed the Fidelity Bank on Highway 64 Friday afternoon.

Police said a suspect handled a teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of money at about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses reported that the suspect did not display a weapon.

The suspect is described as being about 6 feet tall and weighing between 250 and 275 pounds. He had a black moustache and a band aid under his chin at the time of the robbery. He also appeared to have severe acne scars or blemishes on his face and chin.
