Another Teen Charged In Slaying Of Morrisville Man

Posted Updated

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A fifth person has been charged in the December slaying of a Morrisville man.

Alexander Brown, 17, now faces charges of murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the death of 21-year-old Phillip Taing, who was gunned down at the Legends at Preston apartment complex.

Four other men, Devon Carter, David Edwards, Arthur Reese and Jason Reese, were arrested in December in connection with that shooting.

Officers said the shooting, which was the town's first since 1989, was prompted by a robbery.
