N.C. State To Close Expression Tunnel For Renovations

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Students at North Carolina State University will soon have to find another way to express themselves.

The free expression tunnel will close for renovations later this month.

Students use the tunnel to walk under the railroad tracks that divide the campus and also paint political messages and announcements on the wall.

N.C. State will spend $2 million to make the tunnel accessible to disabled students.

The project should be completed by the end of March 2006.
