DURHAM, N.C. — Chris Brock (2-5) was pelted for six runs on seven hits in only one and one-third innings as the Bulls lost against the Pawtucket Red Sox 8-0 on Sunday afternoon in front of 10,080 fans at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Pawtucket wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Adam Stern singled and David Berg hit an RBI-double to left to make it 1-0. Justin Sherrod later popped a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Berg to give the Sox a 2-0 lead.

The Sox plated four in the second inning as the first two batters singled followed by back-to-back walks plated the first run and a sacrifice fly the second. RBI singles by Roberto Petagine and Mike Lockwood followed to make it 6-0 and close the book on Brock.

Durham managed only eight singles, three of them by shortstop B. J. Upton. LHP Lenny DiNardo pitched five innings allowing no runs on three hits in five innings of work for the win.
