SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — Two men wanted in connection with a double shooting that happened last weekend in Sampson County have been arrested.
Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office discovered the location of the suspects -- 60-year-old Robert Bain and 42-year-old John Vincent Oboyle Jr. -- after receiving a tip from someone who saw the suspects' white Ford Bronco at a boat landing off of Ruth Vinson Road in Cumberland County.
Oboyle was taken into custody by Cumberland County deputies at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Beaverdam community.
Bain turned himself in to deputies from the Sampson County Sheriff's Office at about 9 p.m.
Cumberland County deputies said two handguns were found under a seat in the vehicle.
Oboyle and Bain are accused of shooting Johnny Dale Carey Sr. and Jeffrey Dean Yarborough at a house on Carry Bridge Road in Autryville last weekend. Carey died as a result of the shootings on Monday, May 24.
Both Oboyle and Bain are in the custody of the Sampson County Sheriff's Office and are being held without bond for murder.
