<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A construction worker found himself in a tricky situation Tuesday.

The man was on top of a crane renovating a building in downtown Fayetteville near Hay Street when the machine below him caught fire.

WRAL has learned the construction worker actually jumped from the crane to a ledge.

Firefighters rescued him. He was not injured.

Mykia Daniel, an eighth grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh apartment. A 16-year-old was charged with her murder.
