GARNER, N.C. — Part of the mission for Habitat for Humanity is to build families, one house at a time.
That mission was the focus of a benefit at St. Andrews United Methodist Church on Saturday in Garner.
The "Together We Build" fundraiser featured a yard sale and an auction.
The organizers had hoped to raise $48,000.
But so far, the fundraiser has brought in $60,000, and organizers expect that number to increase.
The money will help build Habitat for Humanity houses in Garner.
