Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An insecticide truck caught fire Friday morning near Baywood Country Club.

Hazardous materials crews immediately responded to the scene because of the chemicals on the truck.

Authorities said ahose being used to pump insecticide on the foundation of a home under construction is what caught on fire and led to a chemical leak.

Some construction workers evacuated the area as a precaution.

There were no reports of any injuries.
