HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina fugitive charged with first-degree attempted murder is in jail.
U.S. marshals arrested David Croom Wednesday in West Virginia.
Croom is suspected of pouring gasoline around a former companion's house in Harnett County and setting it on fire in early May.
The victim was able to escape the house without injury.
Croom is being held in West Virginia pending extradition.
