FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County historians are asking for the public's help in creating a more complete picture of the past.
The Cumberland County Historical Society and the county's public library are asking anyone with old photos from the area to donate them to the Historical Photo Collection Project.
Most historic photos in the county's current collection reflect little racial or religious diversity. There are also few pictures showing community life outside Fayetteville.
