DURHAM, N.C. — The town of Hillsborough's new police chief is a Blue Devil.
Clarence Birkhead, the chief of Duke University's police department, has been named to the same position in Hillsborough.
Birkhead, who has been at Duke for the past 17 years, starts his new job in July.
