HENDERSON, N.C. — Henderson police are trying to locate the nephew of a Henderson woman who was found dead in her home this past weekend.

Police said that Terry Tracey Taylor, Jr., 36, of Granville County, is missing and has not been seen for about a week. His car is also missing, police said.

Taylor is a nephew of Betty Overby Carey, who was found dead inside her Wesley Drive home Sunday morning. Police said Taylor occasionally visited his aunt.

"He may have been the target of foul play, and we need to locate him to confirm his well-being," Capt. Charles Crumpler, of the Henderson Police Department, said.

Crumpler also said Taylor is considered a person of interest in the investigation into Carey's death.

"We are interested in finding out what he can tell us about his aunt," Crumpler said.

The key part of the investigation has centered on Carey's missing car. Investigators are looking for a 1985 Blue Oldsmobile Cutlass with North Carolina license plate
