RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced several temporary road closings over the next two weeks as work crews improve railroad crossings in Cary and Raleigh.
CSX Transportation is scheduled to work on the following crossings:
Work began last week on three other crossings, the N.C. DOT said. Crews are working to remove asphalt and replace existing jointed rail with heavier welded rail.
The N.C. DOT recommends motorists pay close attention when traveling through the area and follow signed detour routes.
