WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Police have announced charges in a dog attack that happened at a Wake County school bus stop on Tuesday.
Terell Black, of Wake Forest, faces several charges, including violation of a county ordinance.
Police say a pit bull attacked 5-year-old Tajh Harper, then 10-year-old Asia Brantley as she tried to help.
The children's bus driver, Sharon Jeffreys, was able to scare the dog away with a broom.
The children sustained minor injuries and were released from the hospital on Tuesday.
The dog is in the Wake County Animal Control's custody.
