Laundry Workers At Duke Health System Decide Not To Strike

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Workers who provide clean sheets, towels and bed liners for Duke University Health System will stay on the job for now.

The workers planned to strike Thursday, but put that on hold because labor talks are going well.

The employees work for Angelica Textile Services, the nation's largest hospital laundry service.

The company says it has a back-up plan if workers change their minds and strike.
