Johnston County Judge Denies Injunction On Land Development Plan

Posted Updated

CLAYTON, N.C. — A judge will not stop a controversial subdivision plan that is generating cries of racism.

People in a predominantly African-American community oppose the development, which would also bring businesses.

They asked the judge for an injunction, arguing Clayton Crossings will turn their quiet neighborhood into a noisy cut-through.

Superior Court Judge John Jolly said the group failed to show how the subdivision would cause any harm.
