Bynum Court
RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — A pastor charged with killing his wife could get the death penalty.

On Wednesday, a judge said the case against Melvin Bynum is a capital case.

The Lee County pastor is accused of killing his wife, Marnita, and stuffing her body in the trunk of her car.

He is currently in the Richmond County Jail, because that is where the car was found.
