RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina State University student will not spend time in jail for downloading child pornography.
Wesley Mincey, 18, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators say Mincey used a computer in his N.C. State dorm to download pornography.
A judge gave Mincey a suspended prison sentence and 30 months of probation. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
N.C. State will allow Mincey to stay in school.
