At about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies with the Chatham County Sheriff's Office arrived at a house on Little Indian Creek Road, where they discovered a husband and wife, Rick and Karen Brown, shot to death.
Deputies said they also found a large marijuana-growing operation inside the house, which is located in southern Chatham County.
Investigators with the sheriff's office and the State Bureau of Investigation believe the couple had been dead for several days before a relative discovered the bodies.
Based upon evidence collected at the scene, investigators said they believe a robbery led to the couple's death.
