Chatham Authorities Need Help Identifying Assault Victim

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities hope a new clue will help them identify a man severely beaten.

They released a photo of a tattoo on the victim's back that "Boss Hog."

The victim is a black male in his mid-20s or 30s. He is of medium height with a thin build and cornrows in his hair.

A woman walking her dog found the victim in a parking lot around 9 a.m. Wednesday near Eagle Point off of Highway 751 near the Durham County line.

The man is listed in critical condition at UNC Hospitals.
