JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — It's now cheaper for some people east of the Triangle to stay in touch with friends and family.
Starting Wednesday, people in the Johnston County towns of Kenly, Micro and Princeton can make toll-free calls to Raleigh.
In the past, those people had to pay long distance rates to call the capital city.
The same change also applies to people from Raleigh calling those towns.
